Volunteering for the Horsey Hundred

Volunteer opportunities for the Horsey Hundred are described on our volunteer sign-in site, which you can access using the link below. The Horsey Hundred is the single largest revenue generating activity for our club each year. The event would not happen without the 350+ volunteers who help us. Please consider joining us as a volunteer in 2020 – you will be glad you did! Every volunteer that signs up for at least 4 hours will receive this years' give-away gift of a stainless steel carabiner mug. Volunteer t-shirts will be provided, but size can not be guaranteed after May 15th. Volunteers will also have the option to not receive the free gift if they so choose. All volunteers are invited to participate in the Horsey Hundred for free!

All shifts will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Shifts before the event and on Friday usually fill quickly as most people want to volunteer and ride both days. As you consider your schedule and when you might volunteer, please think about helping out on Saturday or Sunday during the ride at a rest stop or with SAG – These positions are the most difficult to fill, yet they are among the most important in ensuring that our visitors have an experience they will remember.

Get Kentucky Century Challenge Credit

If you volunteer on Saturday during the Horsey Hundred century ride and are registered for the Kentucky Challenge, we will be offering an alternative ride for you on Saturday, May 18th. Participate this day and you will receive credit for the Kentucky Challenge. The ride will be posted as a club ride, so anyone will be able to participate, but ONLY Saturday Horsey Hundred volunteers will be able to receive KC credit. For questions or more information e-mail kycyclingchallenge@gmail.com. Time and start location will be posted closer to the date.

Volunteer Registration

Click on the "Volunteer Registration" button below to complete the volunteer form. It will link you to a new volunteer website that lists all volunteer positions still open. The Volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you regarding your specific assignment after your form is submitted. If at all possible, please use this method for volunteer registration. You may contact the Volunteer Coordinators via the following method: e-mail - volunteers@horseyhundred.com.

Volunteer Ride Registration and Check-In

Registration as a volunteer serves as your registration for the ride. You will check in at the Volunteer Check-In Table in the same room as registration in Georgetown rather than where other riders check in. You will be provided with your volunteer gift, t-shirt and wristband when you check-in. Volunteer check-in will be open during the same hours as the ride registration.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If for some reason you will not be able to make it during the normal volunteer registration appointed times, please contact the volunteer coordinator to make other arrangements.

Kids and Volunteering.

If you have children over the age of 12 who want to volunteer and can fully complete a volunteer slot, we would love to have them! Please submit a separate volunteer form for each child. If your child needs volunteer credit for school or a civic group, just let us know and we'll be happy to verify their volunteer hours.
